Dear Principals,
We have received a number of non-emergency requests for the identification of students using the Silence Hurts anonymous reporting system. It is extremely important to protect the integrity of this system by ensuring that it is truly an anonymous system. Otherwise, word will spread among the students that it is not anonymous and they will stop using it. Effective immediately, requests for the identity of students using the system will be handled through the School Safety Office or through Technology. The points of contact are below:

In the event of an emergency, we will use everything within our means to establish identities. Short of an emergency, we will review the request and determine if the value of the identity outweighs the need to protect the integrity of the system.
