Principals, please see this information from HCCPTA President Tammy Gartrell, inviting you to a principal training on how PTA’s operate. It takes place Monday, October 27th, 7:00 p.m. at Harvie Elementary.
Objectives
• List responsibilities of the principal
• List the responsibilities of the PTA
• Identify dos and don’ts of the working relationships
• Participate in a group discussion about real issues and the problems they may cause
A GREAT PTA principal…
• Makes time to confer with and work closely with the PTA
• Encourages staff participation, involvement and membership in PTA
• Provides direction to school staff in cooperation with PTA
• Meets with the President and works on setting up the annual PTA calendar
• Uses the PTA as a forum for discussion on education issues with parents
