Welcome to HCPS Music/Performing Arts!
Currently, HCPS employs 91 highly qualified, licensed, Music Educators in grades K-12 providing elementary general music (K-5), and secondary (6-12) band, chorus, strings, and select/auditioned ensembles! Our students participate in school-based performances and All-County events, as well as Honor Band, Honor Choir, District Band, District Choir, All-State Band, All-State Choir, Show Choir festivals, Regional Orchestras, community ensembles, and marching band competitions/parades. Henrico County is the only school system in the country to receive the honor of “Best Communities for Music Education” each year the award has been presented by the NAMM Foundation. The Henrico County Music Department has been recognized for all twenty years!!! Congratulations on a job well done!!!
