The Fellowship Committee is composed of IB parents provides excellent opportunities for students, teachers, parents and administrator to mingle and interact with each other.

2010-2011

The following photos were taken at our first IB Fellowship picnic. Parents cooked hamburgers and had all the fixings for a cookout for for our first IB class and parents during lunch. Each year all grades will enjoy lunch and fellowship, coming together to celebrate a successful year in IB.

2011-2012

In the fall of 2011 the parents on the Fellowship Committee held a Buddy Event IB social for 6^th and 7^th grade IB students. Sixth grade students were paired with 7^th grade IB students. This was a huge success. Students were able to share their thoughts and suggestions with the 6^th grade students on how to be more successful. Sixth grade students asked many questions and their apprehensions were eased. This event provided a comfortable venue for new friendships to emerge and continue to grow while enjoying cookies and lemonade.

On November 6, 2011 the 6^th grade students were treated to a Chinese feast by the Parent Fellowship Committee led by Annette Doll. The cafeteria was decorated with bamboo and lanterns. Parents bought and prepared a sampling of Chinese cuisine that they served to the students. Promoting fellowship was achieved in this social situation by randomly seating students at tables with other students they may not know.

February 3, 2012 found our 7^th grade IB students treated to a Mardi Gras social hosted by the Parent Fellowship Committee led by Samantha Mier. Red beans and rice, King cake complete with babies baked in and punch. Decorations included beads and masks that all enjoyed, some students even wore more than one at a time!

On March 30, 2012 the 6^th grade students enjoyed an International Dessert Event. Parents donated various homemade desserts from around the world. The desserts were laid out on tables with each one labeled with the country or origin. Students made nametags symbolizing who they are and a huge banner was constructed and hung in Washington Hall.

Another combined event will be held on June 8, 2012 during the lunch block.

2012-2013 FELLOWSHIP EVENTS

Our first event was the Buddy Event on September 10th. Donuts were served and good conversation and interaction followed. Thank you to all the moms who came out to help.

On November 16, 2012, the Fellowship Committee hosted a French breakfast for the 6th grade IB students to celebrate completion of the first marking period. Dedicated parents under the leadership of Jennifer Parker served students, parents and teachers croissants and jam, fruit, and hot chocolate. French flags and French phrases written on stickies were handed out for students to discuss.

On February 6, 2013 the 7th grade students had their turn with a French themed breakfast.

2013-2014

The first event this year is the traditional Buddy Event for 6th and 7th grade students. As in the past, it was a HUGE success and appreciated by all.

The 8th grade students enjoyed a Mardi Gras themed breakfast complete with red beans and rice and King Cake.

The Year End Picnic 2014

It was a beautiful sunny May afternoon for all IB students to enjoy lunch and outside fellowship. These events could not happen if not for the devoted parents. Thank you.
