The students in Ms. Edward’s 5th grade class at Greenwood have been learning about the rock cycle. Today they created an animated rock cycle in Scratch. Scratch is a programming language and an online community where children can code using a variety of blocks. In these animations, students were able to use code to show how a rock can change from igneous to sedimentary to metamorphic and back into magma. The links to the finished Scratch projects were shared with their classroom teacher through Schoology. Take a look at this awesome rock cycle!
