The 2nd grade students in Mrs. Jung’s class at Longan had a great time researching an ecosystem of their choice on Elementary Britannica. They were looking for information to describe the land, climate, and plants and animals found in their ecosystem. The librarian and I decided to have them use Elementary Britannica as their main source of information since it was already so nicely organized into habitats. Britannica also has a great read aloud feature for those students who need more support with reading the text.
The students did a really nice job collaborating with their partner to complete this research assignment.
