Dear Families,
Happy Memorial Day weekend! I hope that you and your student enjoy a restful, long weekend together!
Next week we will continue to review previously taught material and follow a structured daily routine. In Math we will work on fractions, decimals, measurement, and problem solving. In reading we will continue to practice reading comprehension using real text. In Writing we are working on “fractured” fairy tale stories that combine characteristics of traditional fairy tales but have a modern or unexpected twist.
In Science we will begin our unit on electricity. I know the children are very excited to have hands on experiences building circuits on Thursday and Friday.
The students will have written Math homework next week in addition to their nightly Reading log of May.
