Congratulations to Cameron, who was crowned Miss Commonwealth’s Outstanding Teen in Manassas on Saturday evening! The Miss Commonwealth title allows Cameron to compete in the Miss Virginia pageant, which will be held in Lynchburg in June. These pageants are part of the Miss America organization.

ANNOUNCEMENT for the VPA SUMMER GOVERNOR’S SCHOOL
The Interest Meeting for the Visual and Performing Arts Summer Residential Governor’s School has been rescheduled for Thursday, October 18 @ 4:00 in STUDIO 3 (Ms. Scurlock’s Room)
This meeting is for any HHS/IB/CFA student who is CURRENTLY in 10th or 11th grade and who is interested in applying and auditioning for the VPA Summer Program for Dance, Music, Instrumental Music, Theatre or Visual Arts. You MUST be a rising JUNIOR or SENIOR to apply for the VPA Summer Governor’s School.

Join us in congratulating sophomore Cameron Atkins for being crowned in Lynchburg on Friday night. She will compete for the Miss Virginia’s Outstanding Teen title in June, part of the Miss America pageant organization.

Charita Valipireddy has earned the prestigious Gold award in Girl Scouts! We are very proud of her achievement. She will be awarded the Gold Award on 29th of April.
IB Tour Alternative
Because our tour was cancelled due to inclement weather, we are offering an alternative for those who need to see our school and meet with me prior to coming to a decision.
The times for Thursday are 9:20, 9:50, 10:20, 10:50; 11:20, 11:50, 12:20, 12:50, 1:20, 1:50, 2:20, 2:50, and 3:20. If there is a delayed opening on Thursday due to icy roads, we will simply start at 11:20 and move on through the day from there. If you run late, don’t worry! Another tour will begin shortly. Just make yourself at home in the main office. Times for Friday will be 9:20, 9:50, 10:20, 10:50, 11:20, 11:50, 12:20, 12:50, 1:20, 1:50, 2:20. Friday will run just like Thursday, with tours running continuously throughout the day.
