The students worked so hard on their Reading SOL last Thursday. We know that they will put forth that same effort on the Science SOL on Thursday, May 4.
Reminders for SOL testing:
- Get a good night’s rest the night before testing.
- Eat a nutritious breakfast the day of testing.
- Arrive to school on time – school begins at 7:40 and testing will begin promptly at 8:00.
As your child completes SOL testing this spring, you will be able to access their up-to-date scores. Please follow the directions on the included document for how to find your child’s claim code for this testing session, and how to utilize the parent portal to view them.
Please continue to emphasize the importance of focus on instruction, positive classroom behavior, completion of daily homework assignments, and preparation for quizzes and tests. Thank you for continuing to support our students as we prepare them for success!
Looking for a fun way to review math, science or reading content? Students have enjoyed using SOL Pass in class and they can access it at home too! Our school password is GAESCUBS.
We are so excited to announce our field trip to the Virginia LIving Museum on Thursday, May 18! A permission slip, along with on-line payment instructions for this field trip will be coming home with your child on Monday. We are permitted to take 5 chaperones per class. If you are interested in chaperoning on the field trip, please indicate this on the permission slip but DO NOT make a payment until you have been notified that you will be chaperoning.
