We appreciate your understanding so that we can ensure the safety of all guests as we adhere to fire code/restrictions.

Social Studies:

We wrapped up our study of the fifth and final region of the United States – the Western Region.  This week we will continue working on a fun project – “My Favorite State.”

Be sure that your child continues to review the states and capitals of all 5 regions on a regular basis using the portal portal sites and songs. We will continue with our practice competitions regularly to retain our knowledge of the 50 states and capitals. This will be helpful not only for our final geography test on June 4, but also for the 5th Grade Competition that will be held in the final weeks of school.  For the final geography test students will need to know the correct region each state is located in (Southeast, Northeast, Midwest, Southwest, or West) and the capital of each of the 50 states. This week we will continue working on the “My Favorite State” project.
