6/14 Fifth Grade Yearbook Signing Day – Bring your yearbook to be signed by all your 5th grade buddies!
6/14 State/Capital 5th Grade Finals Competition – review those states and capitals every day!
6/15 Last day of school – 1/2 day dismissal begins at 11:00

Fifth Grade Showcase June 11th
The 5th grade showcase will take place on Monday, June 11th at 8:00 a.m. and then again at 9:30 a.m. All acts will perform twice. You are welcome to attend, this is a very relaxed event.
Yearbooks
If you would like to purchase a yearbook, there are some still available for $21.00. Please make checks written to GAES PTA or send in $21.00 exact cash. We are unable to make change.
5th Grade Moving Up Ceremony – June 13
Please mark your calendar for Wednesday, June 13th.
8:15 – 9:15 ~ 5th grade End of Year Awards and Moving Up Ceremony, followed by 5th grade chorus program (Only immediate Parent /Guardian in gym, any additional guests invited to the library for video streaming)
11:30 -1:45 ~ 5th grade lunch/party sponsored by our PTA (5th grade students only)
*Students should dress in their best attire for the Moving Up Ceremony. Teachers will provide an opportunity for students to change into more casual attire for their lunch/dance party. As we approach year end awards assemblies, please be mindful of space limitations at our school. We ask that families please limit guests to ensure parents of our students are able to be in the auditorium. All other family members/guests are welcome in the library for video streaming. We appreciate your understanding so that we can ensure the safety of all guests as we adhere to fire code/restrictions.
Social Studies:
Be sure that your child is reviewing the states and capitals of all 50 states on a regular basis using the portal portal sites and songs. The 5th Grade State/Capital finals competition will take place on Thursday, June 14th.
