Students in traditional schooling from September to June anticipate the long summer break when they can relax, spend time with family and be free of school stresses for two-and-a-half months. Students in year-round schooling have a different experience. They attend school for 45 days followed by a 15-day break. Traditional and year-round schooling both require students to be in class for 180 days, but traditional schooling is better for student development and more convenient for families.

Review: Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2
It would seem like Hollywood has created enough superhero movies and that viewers would have grown tired of action-packed, predictable films. However, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” proves that Marvel comics still offer stories that create breathtaking films with action, romance and a good dose of comedy that leave viewers pleasantly surprised.

Column: Credit for AP classes requires time, money
With college right around the corner, students are taking Advanced Placement exams in the hopes of receiving college credit. Some colleges, however, do not take AP test credit. With AP tests being difficult to pass and the possibility of not receiving college credit for passing scores, many students wonder if AP tests are worth it.
