Where in the World?

This lesson is for : Grade 5:

Summary

Students conducted a mystery skype with other classes around the United States. The object was to figure out through questioning where in the world the other class was located. Students had to use questioning skills, reasoning, and their map skills to locate the other class. Students developed better speaking skills and communication skills through this process.

Rating: Approaching – Explanation: Students worked in groups to solves the mystery of where the other class was located. Group norms had to be established in order for teams to be successful.

Rating: Not observed – Explanation: Students had to use critical thinking to solve the mystery of where the other class was located. Students had to keep up with which questions were asked and try to ask a great questions himself.
