Summary
Students will research the five famous Americans that are required for them to learn in first grade. Using ABDO People database, the students will complete the fact sheet and draw a picture of the famous American in the way they would like to sculpt their likeness with playdoh. They will connect the famous American’s accomplishments with our Baker Elementary character traits and assign a trait to their famous American. They will read their project on a Photostory project as a voice-over for the photograph of their sculpture. Finally, the Photostory will be presented to the school through the media retrieval system to share their work. The research, the sculpture, and the Photostory creation will be divided between 3 half hour session with the teacher and the librarian collaborating.
