Summary
In this lesson students will be exploring Theater Improvisation and using their knowledge of Improv to evaluate themselves and others. They will do this by going to 5 different stations that allow students to explore various aspects of Improvisation. These stations are built to help students synthesize their understanding of the Improv, reflect on what they learn, and get constructive feedback on their own performances.

Developing: The focus of this lesson is not research and most, but not all of the research is directly provided to students. However at the College Research station students are making their own choices regarding finding information about college. Advanced Search strategies have been discussed in class and are posted at the station. Also tips for finding reliable information are posted at the table.
Approaching: Students are providing feedback to students who they are not in class with through a blog. They are also exploring and commenting on blogs of Improv professionals, working collaboratively with students in class, and working collaboratively with students in other classes.
Approaching: Students are engaged in the authentic task of selecting the best method for proving that they know PLOT and engaged in the authentic task of considering how we could start and Improv team here at our school.
Approaching: Students are presented with choices at 2 out of the 5 stations. In these two stations they provide the best way to share what they have learned. Through their experience at all stations, they have an opportunity to begin planning the creation of an Improv team at the school.
