TIPC Ratings
DEVELOPING – Students used Boolean search methods to locate information about their human body system and public domain pictures for their presentations. They also evaluated websites for accuracy and credibility. Relevant scientific information was synthesised by students and added to their presentations using their own words. Students cited resources used within their presentation.
APPROACHING – Students chose their own groups and worked both synchronously and asynchronously in creating a Prezi presentation using the “Share” feature. Prezi presentations from multiple classes were shared through a blog and commented on by classmates. Students divided up the responsibilities within each group to achieve the lesson’s objectives.
DEVELOPING – Students determined relevant information and pictures to include in their presentation. Students had to apply their knowledge in order to make connections between the body system they researched with other body systems.
DEVELOPING – Students had the flexibility to design their own Prezi presentation on a human body system of their choice. Students were able to choose their group members and which human body system their group wanted to research.
