Summary
The students will create a flipchart containing clues to a location in Henrico County. The students will use the Henrico County booklet, county map, and Henrico County 400 pamphlet as resources to gather information for this culminating project. The students will work in collaborative teams to research information and create the flipchart. The projects will be shared with the class this year and saved to share with upcoming fifth grade classes.

This lesson is Ideal/Target for Research & Information Fluency. Students generated their own questions and were provided a wide variety of materials to assist with their research. The students then assembled information on a flipchart to address the authentic task.
This lesson is Developing for Communication & Collaboration. Students worked in small groups to create a flipchart to present their research. Students orally presented their flipchart to their peers and allowed students to guess where in Henrico Roo was located.
This lesson is Approaching in Critical Thinking & Problem Solving. Students used a variety of research resources to solve the problem for this class assignment. Students had to generated and respond to purposeful questions in order to create a flipchart to share with their peers.
Students synthesized research to collaboratively design their own flip chart. Each group created meaningful original work to share with their peers.
