Summary
The purpose of this project is to allow students to demonstrate knowledge of why the English explorers would want to settle in Jamestown. The students will form groups and create 1 minute commercials using stick puppets and a 16th century background to persuade new settlers to come to Jamestown.
Essential questions:
1. If there was T.V. in 1607, what would people say to try persuade people to come to Jamestown?
2. What were the reasons for English colonization in America?
3. What were the reasons why the English settlers came to Jamestown?
