Summary
The students will expand their understanding of African Americans and their contributions through the use of technology and other 21st century skills. The students, along with partners will explore the different types of technological programs that are available to the students like garage band, I-Movie, power point presentations, and comic life. The will research a famous African American and their contributions to society.

The students completed their research using a variety of search engines and books to find and evaluate relevant and accurate resources.
The students worked in groups or pairs, selected appropriate technologies to solve problems, create original works and evaluated their achievements as a team. The students also went beyond the classroom to tap into the knowledge of their resource teachers to help with their projects.
The students selected from many resources to draw conclusions based on the evidence that was researched.
The students worked collaboratively to produce artifacts that were created as a team and able to present the finished product.
