Wk of 1/13

This week the students got a chance to put their social studies knowledge to the test with a mystery location activity.  First, we developed 20 questions that would help us determine a mystery location.  Then, we did a video chat with another fifth grade class that we got to ask our 20 questions.  Using what we learned, we were able to determine that they were within 50 miles of NYC.  They guessed that we were in Virginia!  It was so much fun!  Check out the video conference picture below.

We are also getting ready for our benchmark tests that start next week.  We have been working really hard in class to review, and on Friday we had an awesome pep rally to get ready.  Check out the drummers below.

Change: The reading benchmark test was changed to Wednesday and the following Wednesday (1/22 and 1/29).  The other dates will remain the same.

Have a wonderful weekend!
