Sweets for Soldiers Service Project

As some of you may know, my younger brother Brian was stationed in Afghanistan in March of 2014. The class and I wanted to do something special for him to let him know that we appreciate his service and that we are thinking of him here at home. This is his first tour of duty in the Army, and he is hoping to apply to Officer Candidate school soon. When I heard from him over Spring Break, he mentioned that he wanted some candy! So, we thought we would collect some Easter treats and send them overseas to him and his comrades. We also wrote some cards and drew pictures for them to enjoy. Here’s a slideshow of our project for the troops.

This is fantastic! Our troops will treasure this kind of thoughtfulness.
    Good for you Tori.

I don’t see a slide-show of any kind but am so, so proud of your class for doing this. All of those soldiers are our heros in so many ways. Let us know next time you want to put together items for him and his troop; I’d love to send along notes from us parents.

    1. Changed the format of the slideshow- Hope you can view it now! 🙂 Thanks, Nance! 🙂
