Rosa Parks Mini Movies

We have been learning about many Famous Americans this year. Last week, for Black History Month, we focused on Rosa Parks. For this project, the students were placed into groups, and they had to:
1. Research Rosa Parks
2. Come up with a scene from her life to act out (Bus Scene seemed most appropriate)
3. Come up with their characters
4. Come up with the scripts
5. Practice, Practice, Practice.
On the day of the filming, the students brought in costumes to dress up and act out their scene. We had such a great time acting it out! We also had a visitor from Central Office come who filmed us, and we are on the front page of the Henrico County website! Click here to check it out: Flash Video Feature

  1. Great films, class! I particularly like those feisty Rosa Parks, not to mention the selection of moustaches – well done! You really brought that scene to life, with lively scripts and some good props to help you along. What did you enjoy most about making your films?
