Week of September 9

What are we learning this week?
Language Arts – phoneme and blend work, read and demonstrate comprehension of nonfiction texts, ask and answer questions using the text as support.

Writing – Creating an anchor chart of “Back to School” ideas and write a story using a topic from the list.

Math – Skip counting by 2s, 5s, 10s; Count backward by tens from 120; identify, describe, create, extend, and transfer patterns found in objects, pictures, and numbers.

Social Studies – Symbols and Traditions-Quiz on Monday, September 16

Important Reminders!
-Students can return their library books and get new books any day of the week!
-Make sure your child wears PE shoes on PE days.
-If you are sending lunch money to school, please put it in a sealed envelope with your child’s first and last name on it and lunch number.
-Please check your child’s gold communication folder daily.  Clear out completed/graded papers.  Check for homework sheets and any other important information that may require payment or a parent signature.  This folder goes to and from school/home each day.
