Count My Legs!
First graders enjoyed a MSIC (Math and Science Innovation Center) lesson. They observed the following animals: centipede, hissing cockroach, ladybug, mealworm, and millipede. Ask your student some of these questions about the lesson. What four basic needs do all animals need to survive? What is one way that scientists use to identify an animal? Do all animals have four legs? What is the difference between centipedes and millipedes? What is the difference between “pedes” and insects? Could we find these animals in your backyard?
Frog Life Cycle Movie
As part of our study of amphibians, first graders traveled to the computer lab for a lesson with Mr. Favale. They created this awesome movie!
