We are in the home stretch! This week, we will begin administering Fountas & Pinnell reading assessments. Students will also create their buttons for the Wax Museum at school. All materials for the speeches should be at home so that your child can practice every night to be ready for their presentation on Thursday. Please let me know if you have any questions regarding their speech or costume/props as soon as possible! Homework will consist of practicing for the Wax Museum, spelling (list 23), and preparing for the energy test on Tuesday. The poetry packet that came home a few weeks ago is due this Friday as well.
Students began working on their final speeches last week. These were sent home on Friday in order for them to have extra time over the long weekend if necessary. The Wax Museum is THIS THURSDAY MORNING, so everything needs to be ready by then. Practicing speeches is part of homework; please keep them in your homework folder so we can practice at school as well. Again, if you have any questions, please let me know as soon as possible in order to be ready on time.
- Make sure you have your costume and/or prop(s).
- Polish, practice, and memorize your speech.
- Presentations should be between 30 seconds and 1 minute.
- Come dressed and ready to go on Thursday morning.
- Parents will not be allowed in the exhibit (gym) until 9:00 am.
