We made it through our first week of the 2018-2019 school year! We had a lot of fun guessing our classmates with “Sack Attack,” doing a human chain, exploring the classroom and school, and getting to know our fellow fourth graders. We are going to have a wonderful year in Room 16!
Welcome new 4th graders! I am looking forward to meeting you all so soon! I hope you had an incredible and fun-filled summer. I look forward to our year together!
Our class loves to learn in the garden! This lesson we learned about the first frost of the year and how it affects our plants. We even pulled arugula out of the garden and ate it! Our tasting today was a salad with scallions, apples, lemon pepper, balsamic vinegar, coriander, and olive oil. We will miss these beautiful, warm days!
I am lucky to announce that I won a Patterson Grant from Scholastic to help build our classroom library! The kids and I are VERY excited 🙂 I started having the kids write down book and author recommendations on index cards that they would like to see in our classroom library. Thank you, Scholastic and James Patterson!!
Welcome to 4th Grade!! I am very excited to meet everyone 🙂 I hope you have had a great summer! I look forward to “Making Every Moment Count.” We will have a great year together!
