What do you need to know about tutoring at Henrico?
We offer warrior time tutoring with select teachers. There is before and after-school and a few select Saturday sessions as we get closer to SOL testing time. We also have FEV tutoring, students can access on their own through clever.

How do I get signed up for tutoring?

Mainly teachers recommend students for tutoring. Mrs. Gooden and Counselors may also recommend students and sign up students for SOL remediation with edgenuity. Parents and students can ask  to be added if extra help is deemed necessary.

What do you need to know about testing at Henrico?

SOL Testing for Retakes begins in September and goes throughout the year.
On the side is the google calendar you can import into your google calendar or outlook calendar.

Reminder the PSAT will take place for all 9th and 10th graders on October 11th in English classes at 9 am.
Please bring computer and charger.
Juniors must pay and register to test.

Juniors can pay the registration fee online or at school by Thursday, August 31, 2023 or request a fee waiver through their school counselor who will let me know to add you to my list.   Late registrations will not be accepted and there are no refunds for missed tests. Seniors will have Convocation in the morning while other are taking the PSAT.

We are offering SOL and Workkeys testing for students who need these tests for graduation.
Here are the testing dates and subjects.
January 12: Reading SOL
January 14 Workkeys Workplace Documents for students who did not pass the Reading SOL on January 12.
January 15: Workkeys Business Writing
January 20: Science SOL
January 21: Math SOL
January 22 : History SOL

Students have been added to the SOL retesters group in Schoology. This is where you can find review material for your test. Teachers will also be available for tutoring during office hours 3pm-4pm.

On test day, students should report to the North Café by 9:30 am. Please bring your computer and charger for testing.

A face covering must be worn for the duration of testing and, prior to entry, students must confirm that they do not have COVID-19 symptoms. Please see the next page for the health screening protocol. If the student can answer no to all questions on the screening then they may report to school with the completed acknowledgement form on the appropriate test day.

Additionally, we will have social distancing measures in place. Students will be 6 feet apart throughout testing and their time in the building. Custodians will clean, sanitize, and disinfect surfaces regularly and students should bring their own computer for testing.

March 11th MC for all English 10 students 1st period
March 12th SP for all English 10 students 2nd period
March 13-16 make-ups

Henrico is holding a special Workkeys Saturday testing session, January 7, 2017.
Juniors needing the Writing SOL can SIGN UP for the Work Keys Business Writing test only.
SENIORS may SIGN UP For Writing, Reading, Math and Locating Information.
If you still need your Reading SOL, Writing SOL or the CTE Certification Credentials test (Reading for Info, Locating Info and Applied Math) you can sign up for this.

We will offer a test session from 9-10:30 and a second from 10:45-12:15.
That way you could take 2 of the 3 needed credentials tests or 1 of the needed credentials and a Business Writing.

STUDENTS NEED TWO ITEMS FOR TESTING
1. STUDENTS WILL NEED TO BRING A PASS (See Mrs. Gooden to pick up your testing pass)
2. FORM OF ID TO PARTICIPATE IN SATURDAY TESTING. Forms of ID accepted by ACT – Current School ID – 2016-2017, Driver’s License, or a School created ID sheet (see Mrs. Gooden or your Counselor for this)
*Students scheduled to take the December Workkeys test at Henrico, can still sign up for January 7. When scores arrive from the December test Mrs. Gooden will then remove the students that passed from the roster.
