What are we learning this week?
Language Arts – The student will use inferencing skills to draw conclusions in nonfiction text.
Phonetic strategies – suffix – er and est
Math – The student will tell time and write time to the nearest five minutes, using analog and digital clocks.
Social Studies – The student will describe how the contributions of selected individuals changed the lives of the Americans, with emphasis on Benjamin Franklin, George Washington Carver, Thurgood Marshall, Jackie Robinson, Helen Keller, and Rosa Parks.

Language Arts – Use apostrophes in contractions and possessives.
Phonetic strategies – suffix – y and ly
Math – The student will tell time and write time to the nearest five minutes, using analog and digital clocks.
Social Studies – The student will describe how the contributions of selected individuals changed the lives of the Americans, with emphasis on Abraham Lincoln and George Washington.

What are we learning this week?
Language Arts – Describe characters, setting, and plot events in fiction and poetry.
Phonetic strategies – prefix – mis and dis
Math – The student will use data from probability experiments to predict outcomes when the experiment is repeated.
Social Studies – The student will locate and describe the relationship between the environment and culture of the Powhatan, Lakota, and Pueblo.

What are we learning this week?
Language Arts – Describe characters, setting, and plot events in fiction and poetry.
Phonetic strategies – prefix – re
Math – estimating sums and differences, determining sums and differences using various methods, and creating and solving single and two-step practical problems involving addition and subtraction.
Social Studies – locate and describe the relationship between the environment and culture of The Powhatan of the Eastern Woodlands, the Lakota of the Plains, and the Pueblo Indians of the Southwest.
