Blog Update for the week of Nov. 18-22

What are we learning this week?
Language Arts – Describe characters, setting, and plot events in fiction and poetry. Identify conflict and resolution, identify the theme, use knowledge of antonyms and synonyms. Phonetic strategies – Long Vowel O patterns – OA, OW
Math – Place Value – Introduce hundreds place, and value of a digit, put numbers in order of value, and compare 3-digit numbers, identify 10 more, 10 less, 100 more, 100 less than a given number, round 2-digit numbers to the nearest ten.
Social Studies – Identify major rivers, mountain ranges, lakes, and other physical features of the U.S.
Science – Identify living and nonliving things, identify what animals need to survive.
