REMINDER! If you have not returned your child’s permission form and payment for our field trip on Nov. 17th, please do so as soon as possible! If your child will NOT be attending the field trip, please let me know that as well. Thanks!

A big THANK YOU to all of the parents who sent in supplies and/or volunteered at a station for our Fall Celebration! It was well-organized and the students had a great time! I appreciate all the time and effort that went into planning!
I’d also like to thank everyone for making my birthday super special. I appreciated all of the cards, gifts, gift cards, candies, and salty treats. You all sure know how to make a girl’s 29th birthday super special! 😉

Math Test- Tuesday, October 18th – ordinal numbers, odd/even numbers, patterns (repeating and growing), and skip counting.

Our lesson objectives for the week:
Language Arts – predicting, types of sentences (statement, question, command, exclamation)
Math – ordinal numbers, odd/even numbers
Social Studies – geography (students should be reviewing their notes)
Oct. 5: Picture Day (information was sent home on Sept. 30th)
Oct. 7: Unit Test on Geography
Oct. 10th: Student Holiday
*** Please make sure you child cuts and sorts their word study sort on Monday. This sort can stay at home. They need to complete at least 4 choices on the homework board and return all assignments on Friday. And read for at least 20 minutes each night with a book that is appropriate for their reading level.
*** Continue to practice addition and subtraction facts if this is an area that is challenging for your child. You can have them practice on IXL or flashcards.
