Vision Statement

Henrico County Public Schools will provide a high quality mathematics education enabling all students to increase their mathematical literacy and be successful in the information and technological environment of the 21st century.

Henrico County Public Schools, an innovative leader in educational excellence, will actively engage our students in diverse learning experiences that inspire and empower them to become contributing citizens.

Students will be challenged to develop mathematical skills in problem solving, communication, reasoning, connections, and representations as they gain knowledge of mathematics.

Online Resources

The secondary math course pages are under development by Henrico County’s mathematics teachers. The pages are created, reviewed and revised by teachers. Our goal is to make an instructionally sound website that helps students understand, learn and remember mathematics.

Another goal is to create interactive, engaging, web pages that students will want to investigate and explore. These pages are different from a printed textbook in that they use java-based scripts, other web sites, software program files and browser plug-ins.
