1. Sam thinks a lot “if onlys” in this book.  She thought “… if only I could keep my temper” and “if only I was a boy, I could go into the tavern.”  What “if only” would you like to consider for yourself?

2. The authors used foreshadowing when they wrote that Sam couldn’t imagine what it would be like to sight a person with a gun.  How might this be seen later in the book?
