Honor and Integrity
Some skills can be learned. Others need years of practice to master – but being honorable is all about one decision you make in your life. It isn’t all about cheating, plagiarism, and lying, though. Being honorable is about living your life with dignity and respect; and living with a sense of justice and righteousness. Being honorable is about doing the right thing. Some people may wonder, “If a tree falls in a forest, and no one hears it, did it really fall?” However, being honorable is about doing what’s right, even if no one is there to witness it. Life is difficult sometimes, and cheating/lying may seem like the best option in those tough times. Nevertheless, the price that you pay for doing so should be enough to motivate you to realize that it’s not worth it. You might be down some points and you might be up, but no matter where you are, or who you are, the best option is always to do what you know is right. We all know what we should do when in a situation; and we know how to respond appropriately. It’s what we choose to do that defines us as humans. So today, tomorrow, and every day, choose to make the right choice… because remember, it’s not worth it. Choose to be honorable. Choose to do what’s right.
