Peep Experiment

Peep Experiment

On Tuesday, we made predictions about what we thought would happen to peeps put in different liquids. We put one in water,  soda and vinegar. Over the past two days, we observed what was happening while the peeps were in the cups. Yesterday, we took out the peeps and observed with our eyes, hands and even noses what had happened. We were surprised by our results that the one in the soda was the only one that didn’t fall apart!

Leprechaun Traps

Leprechaun Traps

Reporting back! A sneaky visitor made a visit to our classroom over the weekend, but sadly we didn’t have any luck catching him. The leprechaun left behind a mess of the traps, footprints, lucky shamrocks and was even nice enough to leave a little morning treat. In his note, he said he left behind something for us to taste the rainbow, so we enjoyed some fruit loops and did our morning work on the floor where he had thrown our journals!

Feeling Lucky!

Feeling Lucky!

Before building our leprechaun traps we did a little graphing review using some leprechaun “bait” aka Lucky Charms. We graphed our marshmallows and analyzed the data we collected. Afterwards, we enjoyed a yummy treat and worked hard to build our traps. Check back on Monday to see if we will have any luck catching the sneaky little guys! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
