Week of Oct 1-5

Upcoming Events:

Oct. 2 – 5th Grade Field Trip to James River

Oct. 17 – Challenger Day (Bring a bagged lunch and water bottle)

Announcements:

  • All students have begun bringing homework home as of this week.  Please check those agendas and blue folders.
  • If you have not already gotten your student an agenda, please considering doing so soon.  We will use this to communicate homework, announcements, and quick notes to parents.  I also encourgage you to do the same.
  • Also, thank you for sending in a healthy snack for your student each day.  I do encourage students to bring in snacks that do not require spoons, and are light in sugar.  Additionally, I do allow water bottles in the classroom, but do not allow juice boxes, and canned drinks.  These tend to spill and drip leaving a sticky mess.  They also promote bugs.  That being said, I do encourage students to bring in a water bottle everyday.  Our classroom is a long way from a water fountain and this will help us maximize instructional time.
  • It can get chilly in our classroom.  Please think about sending in a little jacket, sweater, or sweatshirt to help your student stay comfortable.
