Good morning!

A updates for the week:

-Family Life is tomorrow. Information went home a few weeks ago. If you would like for your child to NOT participate, please send in the opt out form. If you do send this in, please let me know so I can lookout for it.

-I will be sending home your child’s benchmark scores this week. Please return the form signed so I know you have seen the scores.

-Homework: I am going to begin sending home the homework for the entire week on Mondays. If you child misses school or forgets to pick it up, they will have time to complete it. The homework is reinforcing what we are doing in school and is important to complete to the best of their ability. Additionally, each student has flashcards in their binder that can reviewed nightly to help with their VS/Science unit. This is the best way to get ahead for any upcoming tests/quizzes.

-Today is the first day of the 3rd nine weeks! This year is flying by and I am so thankful to be able to spend the day with each of your children!

Have a great week and please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Kelly

Good morning everyone,

Here are a few notes about our week:

-We will be taking our Benchmark Tests this week. Today and tomorrow are Reading and Thursday/Friday is the math test. If your child is not at school for a test, don’t worry-they will get to make it up. These tests are designed to assess their retention of curriculum we have previously learned. It is ideal for me to see where I need to focus our practice around and what I can do to help them master any skills they have missed. I have encouraged them to do their best, but not to stress or worry over them.

-Friday is the last day of the 2nd nine weeks. Any unfinished work must be completed by Friday at dismissal for it to be put into the gradebook.

-Monday, 1/28 is a student holiday.

-1/30-Family Life

Have a great week! Kelly

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a relaxing and family filled winter break. I am very excited to see everyone tomorrow. I know the feelings of returning to school are mixed. During dinner at my house tonight, a few of my kids were not very happy, while the others are very excited to return tomorrow. Either way, we will get back into our 4th grade routine in room 214! We will pick up studying our solar system and division units. I look forward to hearing everyone’s stories about winter break! Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you, Kelly
