Here are a few updates for the week:

-Book Report is due April 12th! Please sign the sheet coming home today to let me know you are aware of this project.

-Reading HW-the students will have a chapter to read in our class novel each night. There are questions to answer that go along with each chapter. The chapters are not long and the students can work ahead if they would like. The packet will be checked on Friday. We are also reading the story in the class together.

-Mystery Readers: If you would like to come in and read to the class, please let me know. The kids love to see their family come in!

-March 16th (Friday)-wear GREEN!

Dear Parents,

Happy Monday-I can’t believe it finally stopped raining! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Here are a few updates for the week:

-Report cards are coming home today: please only send back the signed envelope, the report card is yours to keep.

-Field Trip Permission form: on February 21st, we are going to St. John’s Church to see where Patrick Henry gave his famous speech. Please return the form and payment as soon as possible.

-Valentine’s Day: the students are very excited about exchanging Valentines on Wednesday. We have made a list of all class names. This is optional****….if your child chooses to participate, please send one for each student in the class so no one is left out. Thank you for your help with this!

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a wonderful break. It was so nice to see all the smiling faces this morning! Thank you to all the families that were able to start reading for the Book Celebration. After today, everyone should have a book from either the school library or the public library. Here is the link to submit completed entries once the books have been read. Please remember to have the student do this independently. They can use any notes they took during the reading to help them. Thank you for your support in this amazing project!
