Welcome to 5th Grade!

It was great to see so many of you at open house on Thursday.  For those of you that could not make it, I look forward to formally meeting your child on the first day of school.  Many of you know that I have been a teacher at CTES since the school opened in 2007. I have taught K, 1st, and 2nd grade.  I am very excited to be teaching 5th grade and I know it will be a wonderful year!  My primary form of communication will be through email.  I will also update my blog weekly.  I encourage you to share my emails/blog posts with your student, so they are aware of what is going on in class.

A few important reminders…

1)  Please send a snack to school each day. We have nut allergies, so no nuts in the classroom.
2)  PE is on Wednesdays and Thursdays, so please wear athletic shoes on these days.
3)  Our class lunch time is 12:10 – 12:40.
4)  If there are any changes to your child’s transportation, please send a signed handwritten note to school (no emails/phone calls will be accepted).
5)  Back to School Night will be on Thursday, Sept. 20th. Please mark your calendars now!

Please let me know if you have any questions. I hope you enjoy the last day of summer!
