Report Cards: Report cards are coming home on Tuesday, November 21st. Please sign the envelope and keep the report card. MAP score reports are also in the report card envelope. They are yours to keep as well. Please send the signed envelope back to school on Nov. 27th.

Tuesday Folders: Tuesday folders will NOT be coming home on Nov. 21st. The next folder will be coming home on Tuesday, Nov. 28th.

Wonder Movie: Our classrooms have been working hard to become a “Certified Kind Classroom” this year! We have been reading the book, Wonder, as a class. The students have been participating in many activities and would like to add “seeing the movie together” to our list.

  • When: Sunday, November 19th
  • Time: 1:20 pm
  • Where: Regal Short Pump Stadium 14 & IMAX

Book Orders: Book orders are due Tuesday, November 14th by 2pm.  We need to be able to submit the order Tuesday afternoon to ensure the books get here before Thanksgiving break.

Fall Craft:  Thank you to all the parents who signed up to send in supplies for Thursday’s craft.  Please check your class’ nList to see if your homeroom needs more supplies.  All supplies need to be sent in by Nov. 15th.

Veterans Day Assembly Info from Mr. Krauss:   The KES Veterans Day Program is Friday, Nov 10th @ 8:30 in the gym. All 5th graders are to wear the following:

  • SHIRT/BLOUSE: red, white, or blue, any combination of those colors, any patriotic style shirt or American flag 
  • BOTTOMS: jeans or dark pants (no jeggings, leggings, athletic pants/shorts
  • FOOTWEAR: sneakers

Parents are welcome to attend. We hope to see you Friday, November 10th @ 8:30am in the gym.

Author Visit:  Author Shannon Messenger is coming to Kaechele on Monday, November 13 to speak to our 5th grade students. She is the author of the Keeper of the Lost Cities series. Chipotle Spirit Night– is this Wednesday from 2 – 9 pm.  Please come out and support our PTA.

Spelling Bee- each class will have their Spelling Bee this week when it fits into the teacher’s schedule.

Young Scientist Lesson- our first lesson will be this Friday.  We are super excited and hope your kids come home and tell you all about it!

Wonder Take Home Project- This week your child will be bringing home information about a project for our book, Wonder. Please read over the project and help your child pick a topic for presenting.  Your child must get a parent signature on the form by Friday. This project will be done at home and is due Nov. 17th, with presentations on November 20th and 21st.

Schoology- have you seen your child use Schoology yet?  We hope the answer is yes!  Please take a moment to have your child show you some of the ways they are using Schoology at school and at home.
