We wrapped up economics and measurement and began review for the end of the year and HATS assessments. We have been doing practice assessments online to familiarize ourselves with the tools and format of online testing.

A big thank you to all families for an AMAZING Teacher Appreciation Week! We were truly spoiled with treats, lunches, seeing our sweet kids in our favorite colors, replenished with great classroom supplies, notes and cards, flowers, and gifts. No Blog Post Homework this week – A special homework assignment (optional but highly encouraged) for KES families will be shared by Mrs. Patterson via the School Messenger message system on Tuesday evening. The homework assignment will be due on Friday, April 25th. If turned in, the assignment will count as a 100% grade for your child).

Dinner can be carry out (John Rolfe Parkway location) or delivery. Look for additional information with detailed instructions printed on yellow flyers distributed in the communication folders on March 26th & April 9th.

We have had another great week in second grade! We learned how to count syllables in words, count money up to $2.00, write amounts in both dollars and cents, and the properties of solids, liquids, and gases. We typically do not announce when we have quizzes, but since both money and matter have a but more material, we did post the quiz dates on our weekly update below.

We have had another great week in second grade! We practiced writing facts and opinions, learned how to read thermometers in Celsius and Fahrenheit, put words in abc order, and finished up our unit on magnets. We sent home a permission slip about our next field trip so please send that in by next Wednesday. Below is our weekly update with important events.
