HCPS Compliant Online Resource Endorsement (CORE)

We have highlighted and provided some of the best resources available on the internet. These resources are HCPS endorsed for use with under 13 years of age students and comply with COPPA regulations. When resources are considered they are vetted for instructional value and reviewed by the county attorney to ensure that their Terms and Conditions align and comply with the COPPA regulations. If you would like to submit a resource for consideration please review the resource’s Terms of Service, check the “Not approved list” (link below), and finally submit it for review (link below).

COPPA: Pertains to websites and online services that seek to collect information about or from students under 13 years of age. COPPA specifies the language that should be in the privacy policy of the service, as well as when the service must have parental consent to collect the information.Resources on the CORE list were reviewed by an Instructional Team and then vetted by the HCPS attorney through the lens of COPPA compliance.
