We have been reading stories by Christ Van Allsburg for many weeks. We have loved the mysterical and magical themes in Allsburg’s stories.

We are currently reading The Mysteries of Harris Burdick. In class creative groups wrote stories to our favorite page, “The House on Maple Street”.

We Have Talent!

We are so proud of our classmates. All of the students in our class have many amazing talents!

Jacob and Niah presented their talents in the School Talent Show. Way to go! We are so proud of you both!

The Longest 90 Miles in the World

In social studies we have been learning all about immigration. Our latest Reader’s Theater is about immigrants that came from Cuba to Florida. We learned about the many reasons that people immigrate and explored many of the issues surrounding immigration today.

 

Many people have different opinions about immigration today. What do you think? Should anyone who wants to immigrate to the United States be allowed to do so? In the comments section below answer the previous question. Make sure to describe your reasons why.
