We have an exciting new group here at Johnson! Our Peace Squad is made up of eight fifth grade students. The Peace Squad is a program that is designed to empower a group of strong and confident students to respond in appropriate ways to bullying behavior. They will help other students involved in bullying situations. Students in the Peace Squad are being trained to safely take action to help targets of bullying situations in the moment. They will also pledge to report bullying situations to staff in the school. Targets of bullying behavior will feel more confident, cared-for, and welcomed by their peers, reducing the harmful effects of bullying behavior on a target’s self-esteem. Thank you to Charlotte Geddy the School Counselor at Walker Upper Elementary School for helping us get this wonderful group started! Here is a picture of our Peace Squad in front of our Kindness Pledge!

My name is Ms.Schlichtcroll (Ms.S). I am thrilled to be joining the Johnson Family as your school counselor!
As Johnson’s Counselor, I will provide a developmental, comprehensive counseling program that addresses the academic, personal/social, and career development of all students. I will work with students in the classroom, individually, and in groups, for them to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to reach their goals!
When I am not at Johnson, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and two dogs Paddington and Madeline. I love traveling, reading, professional development, arts & crafts, and cheering on the Crimson Tide!
I look forward to working with each of your children this school year!
