Welcome to another exciting school year of  learning and fun!

My name is Joannie Pauli and I am Colonial Trail’s full time School Counselor!

I graduated from VA Tech in 1988 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and from VCU in 2006 with a Master’s of Education degree in Counselor Education.  Prior to receiving my M.Ed., I worked in Human Resources for Sprint in Northern VA and stayed at home to raise my three children, who are now almost grown! My daughter is a soon to be junior, and my identical twin boys will be newly minted freshmen.  All three of them attend Godwin High School!

I have worked for Henrico Country Public Schools for the past four years. I started my School Counseling career as the part-time Counselor between Laburnum and Highland Springs Elementary Schools. Most recently I was the part-time School Counselor for Colonial Trail and Shady Grove!  So to many of your children, my face will be very familiar.  I will be so happy to see them soon!!

When I’m not working, I love spending time with my friends and family.   I love music, dancing, outdoor activities like hiking, biking, and white water rafting (when I have time:), as well as  reading and gardening.

Your child will also have the benefit of a part-time School Counselor as well!  Her name is Adrienne Jennings. Mrs. Jennings received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Virginia State University in 2003 and 2005.  She has been a School Counselor for 5 years. She has also had experience working as an Instructional Coach for the past 2 years with Henrico County.  Mrs. Jennings loves working with children, providing the appropriate resources so that each individual child can be  successful!

Mrs. Jennings loves spending time with her husband, 2 year old son, and her friends, family, and sorority sisters!  She enjoys dancing, reading, great music, movies, and football!

Together our mission is to help ensure that your child’s educational experience is happy, productive, and safe!  We hope you’ll enjoy exploring our website.
