What a FUN filled week! From celebrating crushing benchmark goals, to Market Day, and finally spreading love & kindness on Valentine’s day. We certainly made the most of our first full week after benchmarks! Thank you for helping us make these memories together and for spoiling classmates and me with Valentine goodies!

A LOOK INTO ROOM 8:

Reading- We reviewed making inferences an drawing conclusions as we analyzed a StoryWorks fiction passage called “Dad’s New Job”. The students used what they know and what they read to figure out things from the text that the author did not directly say. Image result for making inferences anchor chart

Writing- Students continued working on their Silent Movie projects. We are utilizing Adobe Spark to create a silent movie using the three types of quotes discussed in class. Next week we will begin acting out our scenes…I am excited to see the final products! Image result for act one clip art

Social Studies- We utilized the Social Studies Alive textbook to dive deeper into the Northeast region. We also completed our states and capitals quiz for the Northeast region.
