WOOHOOO! Benchmarks are done! I am proud to say that not only did we work hard, but we ROCKED every test out! Get ready to play hard on Monday to celebrate our successes during benchmark testing! Thank you for the continued support from home.

Colds and allergies have hit our classroom in full force! If you are able, we could use boxes of tissues, hand sanitizer, and Cholorx wipes to help keep those germs at bay!
A LOOK INTO ROOM 8:
Writing- Students began working on their Silent Movie Project! This is an exciting, fun project in which we will create a silent movie based on a topic of their choice. In this silent film, their only way to communicate is through quotations and active scenes. 
Students are expected to use all three forms of quotation marks (with the tag at the end, beginning, and middle). Students are paying special attention to where they place and use their punctuation and capitalization.
Social Studies- We continued our unit on the Northeast region of the United States as we learned about the physical characteristics, natural resources, economic activities, and significant landmarks in the region. Students should be reviewing their study guide and notes each week!
