We had a great Friday!  We read Ocean Commotion and talked about our theme this year, Sailing the S.E.A.S. of success.  We made a book called School Days your child may read over the weekend.  We also practiced our counting skills by making a counting book.  Your child may want to finish coloring this at home.  Each child wrote about one thing he/she did this week and drew a picture.  We are all excited for the weekend but will be ready to return to school bright and early Monday morning!  Have a great weekend

We had a great second day of school today!  We started our day off drawing about ourselves, talking about how we have differences but we all “bee-long”.  We also went to an assembly where Mrs. Otey reminded us of the school rules.  Rainbow Fish reminded us of our theme, Sailing the S.E.A.S. of success and we decorated our own rainbow fish!  After reading Chrysanthemum, we wrote our names out to see how many letters we each have in our name and graphed those.  Our class had the most amount of people with seven letters in their name!   Day 3 here we come…

We had a great day setting sail on the S.E.A.S. of success!  We colored about things we did this summer, practiced our classroom rules, sang our days of the week and months of the year songs, read a poem, learned about some of my favorite things, and made a sailboat to remind us we are sailing the S.E.A.S. of success!  Please be sure to ask your child about any of these activities we did today.  I look forward to another great day tomorrow!

Welcome to our class!  I cannot wait to meet all of you as we will soon be setting sail for the S.E.A.S of success!  I hope you are enjoying the end of your summer and getting ready to come back to school very soon.  I look forward to meeting you at our open house on Thursday September 1st.  See you soon!
