Echo Lake Dolphins are amazing! And AMAZINGLY kind!! 🙂 Here are a few of our Kindness Rocks that students created last week to celebrate Kindness Week at Echo Lake!
Hi Echo Lake Dolphins! It sure is great to be back at ELES with all of the wonderful students and staff!!! Thank you to everyone who participated and made our annual Giving Tree a HUGE success!!! We were able to help 43 children have a brighter holiday season! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity!
Lots of fun things are coming up in the new year! Our 5th graders will be registering for middle school classes. We will be talking in lessons about kindness and celebrate kindness week January 28th-February 1st. Look for information coming home about all of these things!
I appreciate all of the hugs and love I have received coming back. It is a GREAT place to be!
Hi Echo Lake Dolphins! I hope you all had a fun and restful summer!! We can’t wait to have a great year learning and growing!! I will be out on maternity leave for the start of the year as we are welcoming our 3rd boy into the Yonce family! As excited as I am to meet him, I am sad to miss the beginning of the year with our dolphins!!!
Mrs. Clary will be my board sub while I am out. She was the School Counselor at Gayton Elementary and you will love her! 🙂 Her email is firstname.lastname@example.org or you can give her a call. Students, she will be coming in each month for lessons until I get back.

We had such a fun and educational Career Day! Thank you to all of our volunteers who took time to be here! I hope everyone has a great summer break!
We have some amazingly talented and kind dolphins here at ELES!! Every day they fill our halls and classrooms with kindness, but last week they decorated them with it! Check out some of poster contest winners! And parents, you will find a small act of kindness at the Heart to Heart breakfast from your children!
Our Echo Lake dolphins participated in Unity Day today! We are talking this month about how to be UPSTANDERS by standing up to bullying! Here are some of our amazing kindergartners showing their orange for Unity Day! 🙂
Hi Echo Lake Dolphins! Welcome back to the 2017-2018 school year! I am so grateful to be back with you and look forward to another great year!
This year we will be recognizing students for showing our monthly super hero character traits and learning about them in class lessons and morning meetings. I will have a group of 5th grade leaders help to introduce each character trait on the announcements! I also look forward to working with our newly elected Dolphin Buddy 5th grade leaders! They are going to do great things for our students and staff this year!!
Looking forward to seeing everyone at Open House!
Echo Lake Families,
What an exciting spring we have here at the Lake! This month in lessons, I will be talking about determination! We will be talking about how it’s okay to make mistakes, not giving up, and using determination in team work!
We have Career Day coming up June 12th. If you would like to volunteer to share your talent and enthusiasm for your career, please return the pink form that came home last week by Friday or give me a call! Volunteers will present six 15-20 minute sessions on their career. I will contact chosen volunteers. Thank you to all that have already jumped in to help out!
Lastly, testing season is upon us! I am working with students to remind them of some important testing tips that will help them to do their best. We had 5th grade “super testers” teaching testing tips on the announcements. Ask your child what they’ve learned! We are so proud of all of their hard work this year!
Thank you to all of the students, parents, and staff who made me feel so appreciated and loved during National School Counseling Week! 🙂
