We had a great time celebrating Bully Prevention Month here at “The Park”! Our motto was “Take a Stand, Lend a Hand”. Students in each classroom received a hand to decorate with how to stop bullying. Classroom lessons were taught by Mrs. Woody and Mrs. Tate. Students learned 3 steps to stop a bully:
- Be Brave
- Tell the bully to please “stop”
- Go tell an adult
Students also learned the difference between joking, teasing and bullying as well as the difference between upstander and bystander. We had trivia questions some mornings on the announcements and also celebrated as a school with our 2nd annual Bully Free Walk.
