Reading: continue with Cause and Effect
Vocabulary/Spelling: Week 9. Spelling 16 words: pregame, prepare, preheat, pretest, prepay, rebound, rebuild, rewrite, remind, retreat, repaint, misspell, mistake, misbehave, mislead, misprint. Know the meanings of these words: rage (noun), retreat (verb), enormous (adj), prepare (verb), avoid (verb), remind (verb), suspect (verb). QUIZ Friday 2/22.
Writing: students will write for the multicultural museum project
Math: Begin Geometry. types of lines, how lines intersect, types of angles. Quiz Thurs on vocab. Study the definitions and drawing examples that will be in the Math notebook.
Va. Studies: We will finish our study of the American Revolution this week. (Battles of Lexington & Concord, Great Bridge and Yorktown.) Quiz Thurs on “Causes of the Revolution” only. A study guide is in the VS notebook. We will vote on a date for the unit test. Students may recite a portion of Patrick Henry’s speech on Mon. 2/25 for extra credit.
